okay this is gonna sound silly but i've never tried perl, dont even know what it's used for -_-
i'm proficient in c, c++, c#, php, java, asp(shootme), asp.net and alot of sql/tsql, nothing makes my day as much as a nice db -_^
i've heard .alot. ppl talking about how perl is great and so on but never said anything else. so i was wondering over it's structure and why i'd be better off using it in situations where i could use one of the above mentioned langs?
i am a linux, windows and osx user so i'm always looking for better and faster ways to doing things. ex. if i have to spend 3 extra hours on a function cus it'd make it more efficient then so be it..
