- The big thing that is already happening is quantum computing. One of the visions scientists have of QC is that you can instantly tell if a packet you sent has been seen by a third party, because of the wave-particle duality and how an observer changes that. It will be a big step for Internet security, hopefully.
- New technology that reads and emits 'smell' or 'touch' files will have reached the Internet, and lots of websites based around these will spring up. Smell sites will be trolled to oblivion with digital 'stink bombs', and raids of websites will become much more sophisticated than just posting porn and gore.
- Google will find a million new ways to invade your privacy, and one of two things will happen:
>Google will slowly but surely lose its audience and favour to Yahoo or another competitor, or:
>Someone will sue them on behalf of millions of affected people and they'll run out of money
4. Textboards will become the dominant form of anonymous communication and supersede imageboards. At least that's what I hope.
