It's coming out soon, and I'm pretty excited for the new Mario Kart. Sure the console price is pretty steep and 80-90USD for a game is fucking robbery, but the bundle deal seems good.

I sincerely hope the rumours of April 23rd being the Canadian preorder date are true. I have money and I desperately need to spend it on stupid bullshit.

Why'd they have to release a new Donkey Kong just when I get burned out of platformers

Mario Kart going open world.... No thanks! I just hope the next Splatoon is good.

Tariffs will delay the release or hike up the price. Don’t get too excited.

Looks like Nintendo confirmed April 24th in the US

>>5 I never really liked Mario Kart games, but I thought that was a cool idea. Not a new idea of course, it worked well in Burnout and NFS etc. I just don't buy consoles and games anymore apart from cheap second-hand games. Money-grabbing bastards aren't getting my money! Every day I wake up feeling like I'm winning at life!

It works well for some games, but it strikes me as kinda weird in a Mario Kart.
I think it's something about the fact that you're still driving all around the world in go-karts, even though there are actual cars around.
But I haven't actually played a Mario Kart in a pretty long time. Might be a neat spin gameplay-wise, I dunno.

>>9 Nintendo doesn't have the guts to make it actual downtown street racing with current popular music like in Midnight Club though, so sad ...

I should get my 360 fixed and replay that someday, fond memories

Pre ordered my console, but regrettably couldn't get the bundle due to Walmart being absolutely flooded with requests... oh well, I guess I'm dealing with 80bux for Mario kart. Thankfully it has a pretty good track (heh) record, so probably worth the extra autism bux.

I got my Switch 2 and Pro Controller preorders locked in. That was a stressful morning. Thank God I'm unemployed.

Got the same, with carrying case and screen protector as well. Eventually going to find how to waste the month's wait.

So I've been following a good bit of news on the Switch 2 (mostly youtubers following it, some going to experiences), from what I hear, Mario Kart World is pretty good, but the new Donkey Kong is pretty amazing, especially if you like Mario Odyssey. Everyone's unsure what the later year surprise is, some theorizing it's a 3D Mario, but seeing how big the new Donkey Kong potentially could be (also by the same 3D Mario devs), that's unlikely. I think we could see a brand new 3D Mario in 2027, maybe 2026 if we're lucky, but I think the end of year surprise could be something else. Luigi's Mansion 4? Animal Crossing New Horizons Switch 2 patch? Who knows.

It'll be a new Star Fox game with no gimmicks probably maybe I really hope so.
