>>100 I like the Mac system voices but it's a convoluted process to get spoken text as audio files. Not a big hassle, but it would be good if I had a dedicated text-to-speech-for-music application. I used to have one on an old Macintosh, called SimpleSong, where you could type text then use the keyboard interface to set it to a melody; I managed to find it just now but now I remember I had trouble last time trying to get SheepShaver classic MacOS emulator running...
>>101
go into the terminal and type "man say"
not really for music, but not convoluted either
>>102 https://my.mixtape.moe/fbhqen.m4a
>>103 Not quite what I after but I did find the terminal way for what I did want, which is a bit less convoluted than my method
I also got SimpleSong working, but you can only choose from the original system voices it seems, not my funky DLC voice packs https://my.mixtape.moe/ceovyp.mp3
OP here.
It has been a while.
Has any(*ί[ί) been able to finish/submit a track
or is this project dead
Hey I've been working hard on mine! It's nearly ready!
How should we be submitting our tracks?
DQN DIGITAL VOL. 2: DEQUARANTINED
Considering the musical skill many of us have, shouldn't it be DEQUANTIZED?
lolicore acceptable?
>>112 How would we submit our tracks o'mighty stranger great one!?
Όρρρi OΦOjρρρ½ Μή³
Where do we send them to?
make a track about how right-wingers are fucking retards
welp, it's decided then
submit all tracks (and graphic art for the cover!) to this address:
feelandyoullbetanasinn@gmail.com
the first date posted after >>128 (that's not fucking ridiculous!) decides the deadline
Remember, the deadline is tomorrow, folks.
What's the bet some nonce suggests a fucking ridiculous deadline?
>>121
It's done now but you could just not click through on links to songs, and submitters would have to rot13 the titles or put them below the "Post too long" link
August 9th. One month from now. Your songs don't have to be perfect, they just have to be made. Submitting a rough idea is better than nothing. Depending on how long people take to do things, maybe there could even be a revision after that before it's finalized.
But have something presentable by August 9th.
Some people have busy schedules. Some people are work methodically. Others are still learning the tools they'll be using for this. But in one month, you should have something.
>>131
Are you living in some sort of backwards time where August comes after September?
Because here in the normal world August is the month before right now.
Haha, Eternal September is still funny even after all these years!
See, this is why there isn't a new album yet. Too much shitposting and not enough actual planning.
>>134
Oh? The truth is funny now?
Or do you take custom to be a joke. We didnft become an all powerful superstructure with six whole members by holding back under our breath with every ritual. It almost seems as though you are affiliated with the pax.
>>134 It's not that it's funny, it's never been funny, but it's still relevant.
(LΝM) I hope Dulcimer-san and his sleepy dog make an appearance
"I see maybe two instances of a thing and there's too much of it"
>>139
yeah dude, people posting the same shit time and time again, year after year, is just "two instances"
two instances recently, many more in the past, in many different threads
I swear, people on this site have fucking room temperature IQs and no attention spans at all
and you're incapable of coming up with new material either
>>140
More than two instances of DQN Electronica and song threads already exist, fucking shut it down no more DQN QUALITY allowed. Not even a single month has passed since the first album dropped but it is already too many, and we need a nice holocaust of the various *pa characters too.
I can't wait to listen to more garbage electronic music made on laptops instead of real musical instruments
>>144 I've played guitar, accordion, peruvian flutes and drums on my track (recorded in my studio) but it would be neither ELECTRONIC or DIGITAL if I just shared one of my folk songs with you or something like that, so I fucked around with them a bit.
FIND THEM KILL THEM SKIN THEM EAT THEM
The time has come once more to degauss.
>>145
I'd like to hear your peruvian flute playing
that sounds more interesting than synthesizers and drum machines
DO YOU HAVE TO SHIT UP EVERY FUCKING THREAD WITH YOUR WHINING ABOUT HOW DQN IS "PROBLEMATIC"
FUCK OFF SOMEWHERE ELSE IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT
YOU FUCKING GOD DAMN KIDS HAVE NO RESPECT, EVEN IN THE FUCKING ELECTRONICS THREAD NOW
>>150 as if it wasn't already clear enough that you do not belong here, fuck off back to that website and take your epic memetext and your frogs with you
>you do not belong here
your anger only encourages me to stay
>that website
what's that supposed to mean, buddy? I only browse textboards
>memetext
quoting is a feature literally built into this board software
it also predates textboards
ever heard of email? quoting is a thing there, too
and it's common to alter what someone says to summarize what the message means
if you refer to quoting as ``memetext'' then you need to lurk more, bucko
Gonna listen to all the sun releases and mediate on them in preparation
>quoting is a feature literally built into this board software
>it also predates textboards
>ever heard of email? quoting is a thing there, too
Considering I've probably been using them since before you were born, I am perfectly aware, thanks. Using it as "le may may arrows" to quote things that were never actually said is a recent "innovation" which is distasteful to everyone outside a select handful of low quality imageboards and using it as such is proof that you belong there and not here.
Eternal September isn't just some "epic injoke maymay" to look up on some shitty meme database and suddenly be "in on the joke", it's a solemn vigil for what once was and then was lost due to being shitposted to death by uncouth teenagers. Judging by the current state of DQN, we need such a reminder now more than ever.
>>155 someone who posts with the specific aim of stirring shit up, being a nuisance, aggravating people and generally lowering the quality of the entire board is indeed the exact thing I would refer to as a "troll".
Bonus points for doing it "for the sake of the board" while simultaneously shitting on anything the board stands for.
>>148 Hmm, think I'm just going to start again and make a beastly harsh noise track instead, using those instruments
I want to hear some really dense left-field electronic weirdness, tanasinn sounds and DQN lowercase and shit like that!
And someone get No.305 on the phone!
>>156
stop projecting
I never said anything about "may may arrows"
that's all a reflection of your own thoughts
>>157
I'm not trying to stir up shit, people are stirring their own shit because they can't handle someone who posts things that aren't just AA art and ancient jokes that have been repeated thousands of times
>people are stirring their own shit because they can't handle someone who posts things that aren't just AA art and ancient jokes
Hmmm, I'm not convinced that's why people are so irritated. Hey, are you going to submit some music?
>>163
not for this deadline, I'm too busy for serious side projects like music right now
but maybe for the next one, yeah
Music sent! How's everyone else getting on?
G-guys?
Remember, deadline is in four days, so get tracks in quick!
Also, I haven't received graphics yet, so I might just make them myself.
The album is officially called "DQN DIGITAL VOL. 2: DEQUARANTINED"
>>168
Would you like someone to make album art for it? If so, any guidelines? Aspect ratio, content, fonts, things like that.
>>169 Square image, 1400x1400px. For content, you could have a look at the previous DQN Electronics and VIPtronic covers for inspiration, and you can also look inside your heart for the answers. If you're stuck for a font, you can't go wrong with Mona. I love the Vol.1 cover: https://f4.bcbits.com/img/a1826138531_10.jpg There was another image, like an ad banner asking for submissions looking at the scene from another perspective... I was sure I made a back cover with the tracklist out of it but I can't find it :S Maybe I dreamt it. I went to check and also just noticed VIPTRONIC.ORG where Vol. 1 was hosted has been suspended... captcha: bum
>>168,170
Do you want the image to say "DQN DIGITAL VOL. 2: DEQUARANTINED" or just "DQN DIGITAL VOL. 2"?
I'd say the full name, doesn't have to be on the same line or font though
I want to submit something. I hope I can finish it by the deadline.
I was gonna do an IRL art thing for the album cover but I won't have time to meet the deadline this time. My bad. Someone else should do it then... that is, unless maybe you can extend the deadline. Maybe I can do it on the weekend? But if you don't wanna extend it then it's fine.
I really should have done it yesterday, but oh well.
Would it be fine to extend the deadline to the 9112th in case of late submissions?
Just wondering, not for this album, but how hard would it be to make music like this?
https://www.vidlii.com/watch?v=pXEwS5gvxgH
And what kinds of software and samples would be required? I haven't made digital music in years, but I'm guessing I'd need some sort of tracker, and some amen break sample from somewhere.
>>179 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WowbJDtSka0 I can upload a decent breaks sample pack later on if you like
Hahaha, I just looked up the sample pack I had randomly come across before instead of re-uploading it, only to find it has its own knowyourmeme page because of apparently how overused the samples were after the dude uploaded it in 2012 - I don't understand though, they'd been used millions of times before that? I'm obviously out of touch with the breakcore community haha. Anyway

Sorry bros, I was gonna contribute a really cool art piece that involved painting something, but some work stuff came up, so I won't have time after all.
Maybe for a future project though, it's gonna be fucking awesome, but it's not the kind of thing I can do on a computer. I gotta travel somewhere to do it. You'll see on the next album after this.
Just a reminder that the final deadline for all tracks is tomorrow (Americas) or today (Asian countries)
After this date, submissions are not accepted (excluding songs that really deserve it)
Please submit all tracks, whether finished or not, to ensure an extended tracklist. Note that I only have nine songs, which is rather small.

How do you all feel about the name "Rakugaki Rhythm" (or perhaps "Rakugaki Riddim") for a future album? Maybe riddim/raggacore/reggae/jungle for the album theme (with typical DQN Electronics stylistic influences, of course). The reason I am asking now is because I have a long and involved idea for album art, but I won't be able to make it for this current album. I won't spoil the details, but the point is that it will take a while. It's not something I can just open up Photoshop or GIMP to do.
It's very early, but it'll take me a while to plan it and do it, so that's why I'm thinking about it now, rather than waiting.
DQN DIGITAL VOL. 3: RAKUGAKI RHYTHM... I was once arrested for graffiti so I'm down with it ( ί ί)
>>187
If you let me make some slow-ass reggaeton or whatever then I'm down.
sorry for the delay, I was at a wrestling event
anyways
+1: download mirrors are needed too
hell yeah footwork bumsex!!!
>>193 Downloading now, can't wait to listen! I will enjoy this evening!
I made half of an intro hoping someone else would make it better and tag an artist name, I don't know what I was thinking. Sorry everyone! Feel free to tag it with whatever you like but I'm going with ( £˃ ˂)£
Also to note is that tanasinn.info's CAPTCHA system is being a bitch since the CAPTCHA needed for external links (example: this thread) is displaying a generic depredated message
