< Invisionary> Anyone here?
< WAHa_06x36> never!
< Invisionary> Ah
< Invisionary> Well I was hoping to speak with the channel owner if he's available.
< WAHa_06x36> what about?
<~squeeks> mmmmyyyeesssss?
< Invisionary> Possible membership (not affiliation) with the Pax Tsukuru.
<~squeeks> ???
< Invisionary> "Affiliation" carries a connotation that some find unpleasant. http://www.Pax-Tsukuru.com/
<~squeeks> question: why?
< Invisionary> Why would they find it unpleasant?
<~squeeks> no, why do you ask?
< Invisionary> I have heard from a very reliable source that one of the many interests of your website is RPG Maker, and for the Pax Tsukuru, making the first step into any community is important.
< Invisionary> Particularly the Eastern Community
< WAHa_06x36> I think you need to rely less on your source.
<~squeeks> http://www.google.com/search?q=%22RPG%20Maker%22%20site%3A4-ch.net <- ???
< Invisionary> http://4-ch.net/nihongo/kareha.pl/1105290595/-100
<~squeeks> get to the point. wtf exactly do you want?
< Invisionary> If you aren't interested, that's fine.
<~squeeks> you said something about affiliation but not?? wtf? how about you cut to the damn chase and explain in plain english what you're pushing.
<~squeeks> i can't be interested if i have no idea what the hell you want.
< Invisionary> Ok, the Pax Tsukuru is an organization, and sites whose owners believe in the eventual symbiosis between the various communities around the globe are it's "members".
< Invisionary> We have a unique neutrality policy that allows this to work.
<~squeeks> so what do i get out of becoming a "member"?
< Invisionary> Anyways.
<~squeeks> money? prizes? a pat on the back?
< Invisionary> Mainly hits in.
<~squeeks> yeah i got enough of that.
<~squeeks> some site that was only made in jan this year which hasn't even shown up on the map isn't really going to bring any more.
<~squeeks> so, thanks, but no thanks.
< Invisionary> Very well, thing is though that the primary reason that it hasn't "shown up on the map" is because the elitist superstructure finds it distasteful.
< Invisionary> Perhaps another time.

Hello,

I am writing to inform you that this is the oldest non-archived thread on DQN whose timestamp is a prime number! I also have other relevant observations that I believe must be shared.

The oldest thread in the DQN archives which is a prime number is 1105384141, which just so happens to be the DQN song. Coincidentally, 2GET was also created in a prime-numbered thread, and of course 2 is a prime number as well. (The first one, no less!) Furthermore, 1185016177 is also a DQN song. From these observations I have come to the conclusion that songs originating from threads with prime timestamps are more likely to become chart-topping songs.

ITT >>71 is a handsome, amiable, intelligent person is another prime-numbered thread, which is doubly interesting since 71 is, of course, also a prime number. The oldest prime-numbered thread to close after hitting 999 posts was ITT we insult the poster above us [PART VI]. However, neither 999 nor 6 are prime, so this thread is of less signifcance overall.

Thank you for your time.

I made a popular meme but you wouldn't believe me if I told you which one. It's old though, and I haven't really tried comedic OC in years.

The odd thing is, I posted all sorts of OC on 4chan back in the day, and you know what? A vast majority of it got completely ignored. And the shit that actually got popular was nowhere near my best material. It was always the semi-low effort/casual, confident, natural-seeming, succinct, easy-to-understand, and not-too-try-hardy stuff that got popular.

I've theorized that the time and place you post something on matters more than the content itself. It also helps if people react well to it. On 4chan, if lots of people posted reaction images in response to your image, that would solidify that people would save and repost it (which is what happened with one post in particular of mine that is now a mainstream old meme). Nowadays, I guess the modern/more mainstream social media equivalent would be retweets, likes, shares, upvotes, and so on.

People with sockpuppet account networks can theoretically game the system and get their forced memes (or propaganda) trending or on the front page or whatever. Whether you do it consciously or not, the numbers on a post influence how you feel about it.

You will like something more if it says 1,000 upvotes compared to -4.

That all being said, it's probably for the best that neither you nor I have our names or aliases associated with the meme stuff. That's one-hit-wonder shit and you don't want to be known as "that person who made a meme once and it got kinda popular for a while." You want to be known for other things.

98 Name: (*゚ー゚) : 1993-09-9041 03:26

Also, I didn't intend for it to be a meme. That's what I meant when I said natural.

It's been done before. The superstructure of years-spanning slow boards is protected by too many layers of inscrutable irony for an average netizoid. Only few dare to penetrate this bedrock of internet subconscious.
