I respect your position, and am even intrigued by your opinions on the underlying meaning of the waifu phenomenon, but I could not help nerd-raging at your use of bastardized Japanese terminology. The word is "romaji". Or "rōmaji", if you want to be ultra-correct in your romanization efforts. Or ローマ字 if you can't be arsed to romanize it in the first place. But it is never ever "romaNji".
Sorry, this is just one of my spelling pet peeves as a Japanese Studies major.
