I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as katana, is in fact, uchigatana, or as I've recently taken to calling it, dai-uchigatana, is not a sword system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning nihonto system made useful by the katana corelibs, wakizashi utilities and vital tanto components comprising a full kenjutsu as defined by 大日本武徳会.

I think the meta shit is a desperate gimmick designed to capture investors who think Facebook's has exhausted every venue for revenue growth and when it goes inevitably broke, it'll go down with half of silicon valley thanks for reading my shitty unwarranted post but I just hate the idea so much.
I remember joining one room in some collaborative painting thing, was chaotic as hell, everyone was drawing over the entire screen at once. I waited until everyone calmed down, and people started drawing each on their own part of screen. I've drawn a lighthouse in the corner of the canvas, selected line tool, selected yellow color, maximum thickness, and started working as a lighthouse light over the entire canvas. This triggered another chaos shortly. Then one guy painted the entire screen with black with biggest brush, and I did a yellow cross from upper right to lower left and from upper left to lower right. Everyone even paused for a few seconds. One guy even typed "YELLOW CARD". It turned into chaos again quite shortly.
There was a time when I was drawing a guy's face starting from his tongue. Everyone was wondering "what the hell is he drawinng... wait it's a face?"

I feel like the Chinese Social Credit meme had a very unnatural resurgence, I genuinely think the CIA teamed up with Google or reddit or whatever to promote these memes so people go down some anti-China propaganda rabbit hole and wind up viewing China as a totalitarian genocidal warmongering direct threat to the west that must be stopped by the good ol' peace-loving US Government through military or economic aggression.
>>655
Nah, it was because of John Cena's weird apology for using the word Taiwan. Not everything is a conspiracy theory alphabet soup op thing
maybe there are posts out there still waiting for a reply from me, and which i have entirely forgotten about
please respond
You know what, World? You got me cornered again. I'm going to roll another joint.
>>656
i mean... you just described an op, dude
someone from the illuminati told john cena's publicist he needed to apologize for using the word taiwan
i put it at maybe 15pct likely that that's what happened (the other 85pct being pure profit incentive) but it's not that hard to see it; historically the illuminati have done shit like that and there was never any real incentive for them to stop
My early 2010s desktop is getting slow, so I'm thinking about throwing Xubuntu on it, but I feel some sense of foreboding about switching to GNU/Linux and I don't really know why, especially since I have other machines that run Windows well if I need something exclusive to that.
>>655
It's an op just on the basis that there have been a million more stories around China and the CCP being thrown around seemingly with the intent of seeing which one sticks in the public consciousness, it just so happened that it was the social credit meme, and I figure it sticked because the west already has a deep affinity for arbitrarily grading and gatekeeping social mobility.
Fuck 12" albums that don't say anywhere on the label they're 45RPM
>>655
It pretty much is. It goes along with the fun in the South China sea.
>>662
It's "CPC". People who spread or regurgitate Taiwanese propaganda always use "CCP". The irony of social credit system: https://foreignpolicy.com/2021/09/15/china-social-credit-system-authoritarian/ is that Western credit score system is worse.
Journos writing pro-teen stories
The thing is that lends credence to your op theory is that journalists (albeit clickbait journalists that may not even be using their real name) have resorted to making up shit about China when there's already enough public shit to make people dislike them, the situation in Xinjiang was working for a while, but I think it became too Islam-centric for the general western public to care although among them it has become a 2nd Palestine of sorts; two years ago or so there was a viral story about socially-acceptable baby eating over there, which is obviously fake.
Another scandalous operation I'm surprised hasn't gotten steam is the way Chinese debt collectors are treating Zambians, but you can pretty much do anything in Africa and have it fly under the radar it seems, (Pygmy genocides, Central African Republic Bush War, slavery in Mauritania, etc).
If I were to put on my conspiracy hat, things like the social credit meme caught steam again because too much ire was being directed towards the average Chinese people and not towards The Party. This is of course ignoring that there is a lot of anti-US/western memes/stories (interestingly, a lot of it coming from the US, the fifth column there is strong nowadays).
In reality, it had a resurgence because the John Xina tiktok was popular and featured the credit check, people just found it funny in the context of an interactive check, similar to the "vibe check" meme. People aping what is popular is nothing new or particularly glowy. Journalists make up shit about everything they won't get sued for. Fear and ragemongering is good business these days.
Thing is, if you believe in this sort of thing, especially the Illuminati, then all powerful governments are farcical and the whole conflict is just for show.
Speaking of China, or Asia in general I guess, the more I find out about things like the Waterfall climbing cave fish and how miserable certain wildlife are compared to us make me want to accrue better karma, just in case reincarnation is real.
But then again, I don't know if becoming a better person out of fear is the right way to go about things.
they should put 最新式お掃除ロボのうた in sdvx

i mean the illuminati thing is just shorthand for the US 3LAs and those of its allies. it's obviously not the case that there is a common faction controlling all world governments (a trivial proof of this is that if there was, China wouldn't be burning coal)

same reason finasteride and dutasteride never really caught on i think. (I know they are quite popular among a certain niche, but I also know I've seen people with easily preventable male-pattern baldness, who are unhappy with that baldness, and I've mentioned it to them and they basically just shrugged).
i'm not quite sure what that reason is, to be honest. like, i don't know what provokes this response. it's an interesting question. the obvious explanation is manhood anxiety-- people don't wanna take a pill that's gonna take some of their sex hormones away. but i don't think that quite explains it because as i said it's not that people react with hostility or fascination (e.g. how they react to the transgenders or the gays), it's more like they just don't take the possibility of taking such meds seriously. and it's not a matter of getting ahold of them either; the last guy i suggested it to (because he was complaining about baldness) was from india where pharms like that are easy to acquire (and let's just say this guy had experience in that realm as well). all i can really say it that for better or for worse transhumanism isn't really taken seriously as an option by what would appear to be the majority of people.
>finasteride
To be fair, for a crowd that has male pattern baldness, hiding the early signs of prostate cancer is a big deal.
Also, hair transplants are quicker and generally more accessible than meds.
And hair transplants are more dramatic, from what I've seen, those meds only cover bald spots whilst hair transplants can give you back your hairline
>>692
well fin and dut don't reverse hair loss, but they're cheap af and prevent it entirely if you start it when hair loss starts, nothing quicker than that
don't know that about the prostate cancer but that's pretty much an old people disease anyways i don't think people showing signs of balding in their 30s really need to worry about it
>>694
the prevention here being analogous to preventing sexual offending. like, ive met some neckbearded neets who are totally willing to eat the bugs and some such people have confided in me serious fantasies of raping people, i suggest they take spironolactone (because i'm in usa, or i'd probably suggest cyproterone), they just shrug
like, if you're seriously worried you're gonna rape someone, what have you got to lose? it's not gonna make you grow tits (like seriously, ask any tranny online if it'll make you grow tits. it won't.) and if you're really worried about it removing all your sex drive you can just do a binary search until you find the right dose so that you still get sexy feelings but not overwhelming ones.
i mean with the NEETs i kind of understand it because these are hopeless people in general but with the indian guy who never had any problem sourcing illicit pharmaceuticals otherwise it kinda baffled me

not the person who brought it up, but jordan peterson's opinions are one of those things that are important because they're popular and influential, regardless of their correctness.
i took a look at the book when i first started hearing about it. i wasn't surprised to find that it's full of major logical flaws, but what was more interesting was that he's not even a very good writer; i expected to at least find his stories compelling, something to justify the popularity. instead it was more or less like reading malcolm gladwell or steven pinker. i think that his popularity stems from the same sort of phenomenon that makes gladwell and pinker popular, where people read the books to feel smart and because he's got smart people credentials and agrees with their opinions on social topics.
in that sense it is very much like the bible (i.e. boring garbage that's influential because people care about it for reasons unrelated to its merits), a comparison that i'm sure jordy himself would find flattering

Excuse me, the Old Testament is a copy of the Jewish holy book describing Jewish nomads leaving Egypt, taking the word of God from a volcano and all that...
Even Jesus was a Jew, he was allowed into the Second Temple, don't forget the so-called "Cleansing of the Temple". Contrast this with Paul who was chased away by an angry mob on another occasion. Non-Jews weren't allowed in.
Roman executions are another tell-tale sign: non-Romans got crucified, but Paul was beheaded (and canonically depicted with a sword).

"Most" is an important addition. Most but not all. I was loved by all girls back in school. They would cling to me and I would act all shy and make them go, "He's so puuuure!" I could have said, "Hey, cutie, want to make some hot steamy love tonight with this stud?" (while pointing to myself with both thumbs) to any girl of my choice and she would have melted in my arms that instant - but instead I thought to myself, "Girls have cooties"- and I kept silent. I stuck to this principle ever since.
I think that's how many incels end up the way they are, is it not?

Stephen King is the only contemporary author I can think of who is rated. Not underrated nor overrated. He's written a lot of hacky shit (usually the more well-known stuff) but also has some some underappreciated stuff, especially for genre fiction.
Also, the live-action adaptions often don't help.
Thinking more about it, he's written almost 90 novels, you're gonna eventually write both hacky shit and some good stuff, law of averages and all that.

I can create a full folder of links to the anime episodes I'm watching, and delete a link after I finished watching that episode. This way I never forget where I stopped.

I'm disappointed in myself for not taking better advantage of what.cd, JJ's fusion blog, and...this other site I don't recall the name of, that had a ton of DDLable doujin/weeb/future music that was pretty well categorized...while they existed.

Most of the stuff is usually available on soulseek. It's the new releases and new rips of old releases that tends to be either absent or locked behind a trade only user.

pro tip: dose l-theanine with any stimulant you take including caffeine for all the energy, focus, and aggression you normally get with none of the jitters or anxiety
however, i can't recommend this to amateurs, as snarfing a strange-tasting white powder out of a plastic baggie in the middle of your workout may get you marked by the clerks

on the other hand I'm anxious because y2k was the last 'original' movement and there is nothing left to revive after it
saw theory that the week is the yang cycle and the month is the yin cycle, i.e. masculine and feminine. free testosterone in males rises a bit for each day gone without ejaculation, peaks after about 7 days, then returns to baseline. this makes sense to me, both the month and the year are intuitive enough to grasp over time simply by looking at the sky but the week always seemed arbitrary, not so if it is related to a man's natural cycles just as the month is to a woman's.
>>857
weeks are related to the cycle of the earth revolving around the moon in the same way that seasons are related to the cycle of the sun revolving around the earth, i.e., a year. new moon/weak sun, half full moon/sun, full moon/sun, back to half full and new again.

A lot of amateur porn is super awkward, especially when you're not horny
Porn in general is incredibly boring. In eroge sex scenes are often the most boring part, they are a challenge to write interestingly. The process of getting to sex is often more entertaining than sex itself.
>>916
you're right, but tbf they're banking on the players paying more attention to the CGs and it works
kinda like how some people played all the way through LA Noire without noticing there are no facial animations on your partner walking around behind the interviewee
kudos to vn cg's that don't lose their surreal element even when provided with context

There's a reason VNDB has very bizarre sex tags. Its easier to make an interesting sex scene when one of the participants is dying or body swapped.

Iliya from fate stay night kept making me erect and not following it with anything. It was amazing but still pretty infuriating. It was the year when all professional eroge makers had to introduce selfregulations to convince shopkeepers to keep selling their games.
Incredibly disappointed that artist doing focus anal NTR doujins of the F/SN girls never did an illya one
the only acceptable NTR I've read is the chinese one with the guy fucking the guy that fucked his wife
Garden was pretty fucking grim. That manga that starts from boy seeing a woman peeing in the open was moody as fuck. Both were really fucking good, they kind of stepped out of just porn territory into being something serious. I think they had a ntr tag, but they weren't quite ntr, in one the girl was dicked long before and long after she even met the boy, in the other the woman walked away from her husband on her own.
Anzu/Téa is CUTE!

it was just a few frames of animation from the anime, nothing serious.
Animation from the tv animated series.
That link doesn't work if you just click on it, but works if you copypaste it, or if you click and then press enter in the address. It looks if there is referrer, probably a protection against embedding and traffic stealing.
I choose to believe that the first episode of the abridged series is the only true incarnation of YuGiOh and zero of the other incarnations actually exist. The card game, if it did exist, would be particularly bad and an excellent example of how not to design a card game.
>>946
I clicked it and it worked fine for me. Maybe it depends on your browser?
YuGiOh abridged took around 10-15 episodes to get good, while Dragon Ball Z abridged was pretty good from the start.
Because of those clowns finding actual abridged animes is almost impossible. The one for One Piece exists and is called One Pace, it's just the anime with most fillers cut.
I doubt there is such a thing as a good card game, they create cards just to eventually ban them from everything. It is the world's first pay to win as well.

What's curious to me is that westerners tend to follow Mahāyāna rather than Theravāda. When the Pāli canon and language make it far more accessible than East Asian stuff
>>949
Yugioh Abridged lost its luster when it became mostly pop culture references and terrible Disney singing. I could never get into other Abridged series because none of the other teams making them had the vocal talents of LK.
Also Theravāda followers tend to be more sociable and fun than Mahāyāna
Theravada > Mahayana.
Okay, debate settled.
but i don't WANT to be sociable and fun, i want to chant sutras in the mountains
Téa is cute!
>doubt there is such a thing as a good card game, they create cards just to eventually ban them from everything. It is the world's first pay to win as well.
Yeah, a good card game should be relatively fixed and have rules that basically everybody can agree to and remember, like board games such as chess or draughts. Variations are fine but when the core game itself is infinitely expanding powercreeping becomes a big problem and only old timers that never gave up and continue to buy the newest cards can still play the game. There's over 20,000 of them now, how could anybody starting in 2021 learn the game?
Though the pay-to-win "CCG" model is popular, "LCGs" (Living Card Games) are a more consumer friendly option. You and your opponent agree on a card pool (e.g. sets A, B and C) and don't need to worry about rotation, banlists, rarity, random packs, etc. Every box of cards has the exact same distribution within.
Netrunner (a popular but discontinued LCG) is even community-ran now & has a small starter set designed for learning the game, as well as a site for playing online.
Only problem is that for some reason people prefer getting ripped off & buying random packs so it isn't as popular as CCGs like YGO.
What this all really means, though, is that you, >>949, should just stick with today's special.
The bigger issue with card games is that if you play with randos you're just playing against the same handful of netdecks
My favourite card game is Shithead I think, or Pontoon

play with playing cards . it defeats shit meta and crap pay2win games. any game you can just pay2win + netmeta your way to victory isn't worthy of your energy
I don't want to play games, I want a cute girl to pour my seed in every night, and a cute musume to snuggle with.
Nay, all I want is money and die.
non-euclidean zoning
Does it ever surprise you how many people have parasocial sexual relationships/fantasies with celebrities
I don't know any celebrities besides drawn ones. Makes watching some streamers beyond annoying.
Fucking a girl you actually know >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> fucking some rando. This is why there are so many archetypes in porn, it is so that you go "Hey, I know a girl exactly like that!". If you think guys don't care in what girl they put their dick in, you are wrong. I don't think they are too picky, but thinking they are indifferent is very very wrong.
The YGO anime is incredibly frustrating. It genuinely has a good story, but it keeps getting interrupted with boring duels. I don't give a shit about the card game. The only duels that are fun to watch are the high stakes ones where people die if they lose, but you have to watch 10 shit duels to get there. But even then you just want the plot to move forward.
Heard the english dub was horrible there. As in it censored a lot. TV anime in general has terrible pacing, which is why I mostly read manga instead. They tend to turn 40 pages of manga into a 20 minute episode, imagine how slow the action is. Fuck adaptations in general, if something was originally a book it usually turns into a pretty shitty movie.
Sussy sussy sussy sussy sussy sussy sussy sussy ~~~~!!

The YGO anime is a battle shonen in everything except instead of fighting they play card games

I think the changes were better. Usually, anyway. Some of the stuff didn't need to be changed. But the shadow realm censorship is unironically a cool idea, even more horrifying than just straight up murdering somebody over a card game, and actually adds more consistency to the series, as the "shadow game" concept kind of doesn't make sense without it.
Shadow can refer to the criminal belly of society, and risky, shady, dangerous things in general. May be a japanese language not matching with english too precisely.
You will never fuck an elephant girl while her friends watch over her to make sure you don't get too rough.
>>984
Saws made of blue glowing energy are a silly concept any way you spin it.
(pun intended)
So, there is no bump limit in /dqn/? Are other boards like that too?
Boards are only good if you can go in a for example japanese media board, think of an any random japanese thing there, and can be more or less sure it will be there.
You faggots being afraid of creating thread is why forums are ahead.
Sometimes dead is better.
>>990
Few, long threads > many short threads, and if you've somehow missed this fact you're lost.
Many long threads > few long threads. Boards that aren't dead have no issue with getting their threads long. Unfortunately, world is too small for two not dead boards.
