My brain is cooked.

204 Name: ((●)トェェェイ(●)) : 1993-09-10433 11:47

I was thinking about title case and how different style guides recommend different things... I agree with the modern ones that say to capitalise every word in a title, it looks neater. The old accepted way to only capitalise the important words, and not like “the” “and” etc. looks old-fashioned and ugly!

205 Name: ((●)トェェェイ(●)) : 1993-09-10433 13:27

if i could create a font every letter would be the exact height pf one another and caps would only double the size. i find that would be the most attractive typing style

206 Name: ((●)トェェェイ(●)) : 1993-09-10433 14:20

>>205 That seems logical but would look off and a bit ugly in practice, because of letters that have curved tops and bottoms compared to one with flat or pointy tops. If you'd like to try though, there's this web sight that lets you easily create your own font: https://www.calligraphr.com/en/ When I used it it was called MyScriptFont.com, it seems to have more features now. I couldn't tell you what it's like to use now but when I did it you printed off a sheet of paper that had a grid with spaces for each glyph, then you scan it back in and it makes a ttf font of it.

207 Name: ((●)トェェェイ(●)) : 1993-09-10433 14:22

People often compliment me on my nice handwriting when I write gift cards for people or whatever, so I made a font of that. I copied it from my fairy godmother, from the way she'd write my birthday cards or signs in her shop

I don't know what “modern ones” you’re looking at, but the few times I’ve ever seen it, it reads exactly like a Jaden Smith tweet (halting and unintelligent).

Really, if you’d like to appear ahead of the curve, you’d forgo titlecase in general. Many publications already do.

Some days ago in March 2022 I dreamt that I had sex with a loli, by force. We were outdoors and she was topless, I got her on the ground and pulled her panties off. Next thing that happened was vaginal intercourse. I think her mom and sister walked by, but they didn't care. I didn't know the girl I was fucking.

Yes. It (diplopia in certain fields of gaze) was pretty much destroying my ability to play the one video game where I was at a fairly advanced skill level.

Fortunately, it seems I can fix it by writing my own glasses prescriptions. (My optometrist is not to blame, seeing as I wouldn't want a contrarian doctor--I'm the owner of my health, it is up to me to be the contrarian. But the methods he uses are both completely conventional and what led to the problem). Unfortunately, it has taken years, years where I have fallen behind the curve (innovator's curse, out of practice, no prospect of pay).

The horseshoe theory only works on a surface level for general politics, as the extremes of both tend to be eccentric and pre-occupied with a wing of politics that's largely irrelevant to most but the details and topics they fixate on are different.
But for gender politics, it's %100 true, I sometimes wonder why incels and femcels dont just become political lesbians (or homosexuals I guess)

For most genres it usually just means listening to important/popular albums and learning some of the history around it but for Techno aside from attending live performances there are so many significant EPs and LPs that have changed so much there's almost a chronological order.

>>291 I disagree... for one thing, a “live performance” of techno is usually just a guy playing records (some mix more skilfully than others) and at a dance it's not so much about watching the DJ perform, but enjoying the music with everyone in the club (or by yourself at home). I'm a big music nerd myself and am interested in all the strands of music history, how different subgenres were born and how they evolve and weave through other strands, but you don't need to know any of that or have heard landmark releases to find tracks you like. In the realms of dance music, it's often landmark singles rather than EPs/LPs that make an impact and push things forward, but for me at least, the best thing is when you just hear a tune that grabs you and you need to find it. You definitely don't need to know the chronological history of techno to enjoy the music :)
